Affiliation With the University of Winnipeg Collegiate
In the fall of 2010 we were advised that the Department of Education deleted numerous School Initiated Credits (SIC) for this year. For many years, the University of Winnipeg Collegiate has offered their Training For The Modern Dancer credits under the SIC category. With the SIC deletions, the Collegiate is no longer able to offer these credits.
The Department of Education has indicated that our Junior Professional Program students could explore the possibility of Student Initiated Projects (SIP) with their own schools.
Dean Robert Bend is prepared to meet with students who attend the University of Winnipeg Collegiate to discuss the possibility of applying for the SIP credits. Interested students from other schools should meet with their school counselors.
