VIDEO AUDITIONS

Video submissions are reviewed on an on-going basis. Please apply by video if you are unable to attend an in-person audition in Winnipeg.

To audition by video, please contact us by phone or email. After the initial contact, the applicant should submit a completed application form with their audition video according to the application form directions in the link below.

Video Audition requirements: To be submitted simultaneous with application form. To apply via Video Audition please submit your videos to info@schoolofcontemporarydancers.ca immediately after application submission.

The settings that should be included in the video audition are listed below. Combinations may be short and may be shown on one side. Please submit a link for Vimeo, Youtube, or send by Wetransfer.

Please include the following information in your email:

Name, Phone Number, City/Country of Residence, and confirm that you have submitted this application.

The following ballet settings should be included in your video audition:

a) Ballet Barre

b) Ballet Centre- pliés and port de bras- tendus, glissés or dégagés- ronds de jambes- frappés or petit battement- adage- grande battement- adage enchainement- petit allegro enchainement- allegro enchainement- grand allegro enchainement

The following contemporary settings should be included in your video audition:

a) Contemporary Warm-Up- pliés with use of spirals, curves or contractions- tendus, glissés or dégagés with use of spirals, curves or contractions- ronds de jambes- contemporary adage- the warm-up may be demonstrated at the barre or in the centre

b) Contemporary Centre- contemporary adage- jumping combinations in the centre- 2 combinations across the floor Please note: Two traveling jumping combinations MUST be included.

I understand that if I am accepted to The Senior Professional Program, I must make a non-refundable deposit to reserve my placement in the Program. Canadian students must submit a non-refundable deposit of $1000 and International students must submit a non-refundable deposit of $2000 CND. The only exception is if an international student is not approved for a Canadian Study Permit, The School of Contemporary Dancers will refund the deposit.
